Review: Nibmor’s Daily Dose of Dark Chocolate

After meals, I just LOVE a piece of delicious dark chocolate.  And sometimes a piece turns into the entire bar.  I certainly don’t mean for this to happen, but I do admit my love of chocolate can take over and before I know it, I’ve eaten more than I had planned.  And that’s all changed since my friends over at Nibmor Chocolates handed me some of their newest product line – Daily Dose of Dark.

Daily Dose of Dark is perfect all the way from it’s size & delectable flavor down to the way the words “Daily Dose of Dark” just rolls off the tongue, making every woman (and even the occasional guy) smile.  An incredible follow-up product from their agave bars, Daily Dose of Dark brings you a wonderful little square of chocolate heaven perfectly portioned out.  This time around the sweetener of choice (Nibmor is all about using unrefined sweeteners) is organic cane sugar.

Yes, I said cane sugar.  You might wonder why any sort of cane sugar might be considered worth eating since sugar in general gets such a bad wrap these days.  However organic cane sugar isn’t made in the same way as your run-of-the-mill table sugar and retains much of the nutrients that are typically lost in the production of the ‘nasty’ white stuff.

Let’s face it- at the end of the day we’re all going to eat something sweet. So why not choose something that’s using an unrefined sugar source, farmed and traded in an environmentally and ethically sound way and that’s free of gluten and dairy.

Smooth, creamy and just the right hint of sweetness, Daily Dose of Dark is a hit!  These lovely .35-oz squares pack a 72% punch of cacao into a decadent nicely-sized square.  The chocolate retains a level of suppleness that you might not associate with a vegan chocolate also certified organic, gluten-free and ethically traded.  You can easily carry them around in your handbag, whip them out for after-dinner dessert, give them as treats for the holidays or simply indulge after a wonderful meal.

Coming soon to a market near you, Nibmor‘s Daily Dose of Dark is worth sampling.  You can also purchase your squares from various online retailers as well as through Nibmor’s online store.  So, only one question remains – Did you get your Daily Dose of Dark today?
