Place the lettuce, cucumbers, avocado, apple and cashews in a large bowl. If you’re concerned about presentation, add them into the bowl one at a time in the order listed herein (starting with the lettuce on the bottom).
In a small bowl, add your olive oil and balsamic vinegar first. Then add the other spices and herbs. Use a fork and whisk together. (If you have a small jar, you can put all of these ingredients in there and then seal and shake the bottle to mix them).
Taste the dressing before adding it. You can make any adjustments before topping your salad.
When you’re ready to serve the salad, pour the dressing overtop and then mix everything up so that everything is evenly coated.
