Review: Gluten-Free Labels

Did you know that if you live in a home with gluten-eaters, you’ve got to keep your gluten-free food products and other kitchenware segregated? Many people (myself included until a few years ago) was in this boat, rocking out the black sharpee and masking tape to make sure that my husband and I didn’t mix up what was contaminated and what wasn’t in our kitchen.

We’ve now shifted to a 99% gluten-free kitchen (he does occasionally buy some wheat bread as he isn’t sensitive to gluten), but it’s really not frequent.  I only cook gluten-free, so my husband eats what I cook.  But before this time, I was constantly watching him… always afraid he’d pick up the wrong container or accidentally use something that was safe for me.

Inevitably sloppy sharpee writing gets confusing and masking tape falls off of containers.  They get wet (or damp even) and trouble ensues.  Plus everything looked like a total eyesore in my fridge!

What saved me?  Meet Gluten Free Labels

Gluten Free Labels offers gluten-free folks the opportunity to easily mark their gluten-free wares with clear labels that will keep confusion at bay in households that are not 100% gluten-free.  You’ve got a snazzy set of options which will meet all of your labeling needs.

Bright orange silicon tags are easily looped around any hook on your cooking wares.  Whether it’s a pan, cutting board or strainer, these bright durable warnings are visible and can withstand washing by hand or in the dishwasher.  Plus they are microwave- and oven-safe!

I love their versatility and they just look much cleaner than the masking tape to those who might not be familiar with my kitchen (and my color coding system).

The gluten-free stickers come in a variety of colors and sizes so that you can quickly place them on the lids of your favorite gluten-free products before they are put away in the cabinet.  Now my husband never mixes up which almond butter is his because the gluten-free reminder is clearly visible.

These stickers work well on plastic, metal or glass and will hold up being put through the dishwasher because they’re made from a thick durable vinyl that can hold up to wear and tear in the kitchen.

Writable stickers offer you the ability to remind folks at your home or at a party that something specific (maybe a bottle of wine) or a specific desert (which you only brought enough for yourself) is off limits to everyone else.

And the newest edition to this incredible bunch is the gluten-free toothpick!  Perfect for parties, you can easily flag what is gluten-free for your guests (especially those who are nervous to be eating outside their house).  Cute, visible and easy-to-read, these toothpicks are bound to be all the rage at your next party or soirée.
