Did you know that if you live in a home with gluten-eaters, you’ve got to keep your gluten-free food products and other kitchenware segregated? Many people (myself included until a few years ago) was in this boat, rocking out the black sharpee and masking tape to make sure that my husband and I didn’t mix up what was contaminated and what wasn’t in our kitchen.
We’ve now shifted to a 99% gluten-free kitchen (he does occasionally buy some wheat bread as he isn’t sensitive to gluten), but it’s really not frequent. I only cook gluten-free, so my husband eats what I cook. But before this time, I was constantly watching him… always afraid he’d pick up the wrong container or accidentally use something that was safe for me.
Inevitably sloppy sharpee writing gets confusing and masking tape falls off of containers. They get wet (or damp even) and trouble ensues. Plus everything looked like a total eyesore in my fridge!
What saved me? Meet Gluten Free Labels…
Gluten Free Labels offers gluten-free folks the opportunity to easily mark their gluten-free wares with clear labels that will keep confusion at bay in households that are not 100% gluten-free. You’ve got a snazzy set of options which will meet all of your labeling needs.
Bright orange silicon tags are easily looped around any hook on your cooking wares. Whether it’s a pan, cutting board or strainer, these bright durable warnings are visible and can withstand washing by hand or in the dishwasher. Plus they are microwave- and oven-safe!
I love their versatility and they just look much cleaner than the masking tape to those who might not be familiar with my kitchen (and my color coding system).
The gluten-free stickers come in a variety of colors and sizes so that you can quickly place them on the lids of your favorite gluten-free products before they are put away in the cabinet. Now my husband never mixes up which almond butter is his because the gluten-free reminder is clearly visible.
These stickers work well on plastic, metal or glass and will hold up being put through the dishwasher because they’re made from a thick durable vinyl that can hold up to wear and tear in the kitchen.
Writable stickers offer you the ability to remind folks at your home or at a party that something specific (maybe a bottle of wine) or a specific desert (which you only brought enough for yourself) is off limits to everyone else.
And the newest edition to this incredible bunch is the gluten-free toothpick! Perfect for parties, you can easily flag what is gluten-free for your guests (especially those who are nervous to be eating outside their house). Cute, visible and easy-to-read, these toothpicks are bound to be all the rage at your next party or soirée.

I have been gluten free since April 12. I my parents are living with me and they are NOT gluten free. It ain’t easy!
Congrats to you, Christy! I hope to be a valuable resource to you on your journey!
Been gluten free for almost 10 years.
I’ve been gluten free a little over a year, but my husband and little boy are not! Labels would make life together in our mixed kitchen a little less stressful. Great idea for a giveaway!
My husband has been gluten free 4 years now, I went gluten free in the last year after realizing that I felt better getting it out of my life too. Now when I’m glutened, I get the puffy stomach and feel lethargic. My husband has breathing difficulties for days if he is glutened. It is always a struggle when other family members are around who still eat gluten, they don’t realize how important for our health it is to be gluten free. Not just a fad.
I have been GF since Aug 5th 2012 after 7 years of constant pain and doctors who told me I was crazy. I live with food allergies other than gluten and live with two people who aren’t allergic to one darn thing!! LOL I feel like a food hoarder and a kitchen vulture. I HAVE to be so careful or pay the consequences. These would are a really great idea!! I use sharpie and freezer tape and it is a pain!
I am gluten free for 10 months now. The labels would be very practical and helpful in daily living. :/ Thank you for opportunity to win some of those. 🙂
I have been gluten free since February of 2004. It’s been a difficult road but am finally understanding how serious celiac is and how being gluten free is the one and only cure.
I am trying hard to stay gluten free, but not always successful. 🙁 Been working at it for a year now. Feel like I need a whole other fridge, freezer and cupboard space just for me!
I’ve been gf since 2005 and my two kids since 2007@
I’ve been GF since November 2012. I had a relapse for Thanksgiving and it killed me gut wise. I have stuck to it diligently ever since. Lost 35 lbs without even dieting. My IBS is better and I think my fibro and depression are better too. The gastro doc is treating me for Celiac and I can’t tell you how much better I feel all the way around.
I decided to go gluten free maybe 9 months ago when I realized I would itch and break out after eating certain foods. I kept a food diary and figured out it had to be gluten. Now I try to go without it but sometimes are harder than others. The symptoms are so bad when I have been gluten free for a while so I know it’s a serious issue.
I have been gluten free since September 2010. Right now I use the tape and paper with sharpie option to keep my gluten free items separate.
I have been gluten free for about three years now and I am a college student living with three people who are not gluten free. It is very hard to even avoid cross-contamination so having labels would be a HUGE help for me!!!
I’ve been GF since September (minus my wedding and honeymoon). I try to be as good as can be!
This time I have been gluten free for about a week. I live in a house with gluten so its hard to find the motivation to stay that way. I have bought pans in the past and someone always uses it. I found crumbs on the top of my dehydrator this morning and thought okay well I guess that’s out.
I have been GFree since October 2012. I realized eating gluten was a mjor problem when I ended up in the hospital in excruciating pain Chritmas morning after enjoying Christmas dinner with the family. After a week and multiple tests I decided no more cheating! Separating foods can be confusing for the kids, so labels like this would definitely make a difference! Thank you!!!
I’ve been gf for 8 years now. So grateful that I found the answers to my health issues!
I’ve been GF since February 2012 after being diagnosed with Celiac Disease at 26 years old. My husband and children do eat what I cook but also maintain a non-GF diet.
just over a year now…around 14 months
Since Feb 2012….
I have been gluten free for 3 years now. I do enjoy sleeping 🙂 The wheat seems to mess up my sleep. If I eat wheat I don’t sleep for 6 weeks (till it is out of my system).
One of my 4yr old twins was just diagnosed with celiac disease 2 months ago..so I changed a family of 5 over to all GF and we all feel better!!
About a month and a half after finding out i have DH
I have been GF since September. It hasn’t been easy road at all! These would be so helpful since my husband isn’t GF!
I am trying to become gluten free since March. I live with my two adult daughters and am on SSI and EBT, so when I run out of money I tend to eat whatever is available. I have inflammation issues rather than intestinal ones and have noticed that I do feel a lot less pain when I am wheat free.
I have been gluten free on & off for five years & my 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with celiac one year ago and has been gluten free since, I too have celiac so I am trying extra hard this time to set an example for her and truly stay gluten free!! It’s hard, my house is not entirely gf, I have five other children who try to be sensitive to our needs but mistakes do happen. It’s a learning process for all of us.
I have been Gluten Free for over 10 years now. I credit my mom who also has Celiac, with speeding up my diagnosis. She saw in me what many Doctors did not and her effort is what resulted in my positive biopsy. These labels would come in handy as both my husband and our 4 year old son are gluten eaters. We currently use a sharpie but that tends to rub off of surfaces easily.
