If you’re worried that your Thanksgiving will never be the same again, I’ve got good news! I’ve gathered over 70 of the best gluten free Thanksgiving recipes and meal ideas to turn your turkey day into a delicious experience. So delicious that you (along with everyone else) won’t even notice that gluten’s missing.
Over the years, I’ve personally found it much easier to host a big meal in order to have more control over the food involved. Here’s tips on hosting a successful meal that’s gluten-free (and beyond).
Ultimately it reduces your stress about gluten accidentally hiding in a dish prepared by someone else.
If you aren’t cooking, then call the host asap and ask what dishes you can bring.
This list will be a huge help to you! These gluten free thanksgiving recipes aren’t boxed product swaps that likely won’t fool someone used to eating gluten. Instead, they’re made with ingredients that happen to be gluten free so that the no one will notice that gluten is missing.
Need to avoid more than gluten? Don’t worry… I got you covered
Yes, you can build the menu to avoid your food triggers (as well as accommodate any others too) and keep everyone happy.
The key is to make food that happens to be gluten-free.
That way you can better control additions or substitutions from the recipe. It can be a real challenge covering multiple sensitivities when you buy a pre-made dish or boxed food product.
Can’t tolerate dairy? While some of these gluten free Thanksgiving recipes listed here include dairy, don’t stress. I explain how to substitute for different forms of dairy in this article HERE. So don’t feel like you can’t make an adjustment if dairy is involved… I assure you, that is further from the truth.
Need some ideas to swap out eggs? Here is a brief list of ways you can reduce or eliminate eggs from recipes. I am a big fan of using chia seeds. To replace one egg, combine 1 tbsp ground chia to 3 tbsp warm water. Wisked the mixture with a fork and allowed to stand for about 5 minutes before using.

Thank you for this impressive list of gluten free recipes from bloggers all over the net. I can’t wait to “dig in” and start browsing through them. It’s nice to have real food choices for the holidays ( and everyday).
Jennifer,
There is a picture of some little blackberry goodness dessert on 70+ Best Gluten-Free Thanksgiving Recipes — but no recipe is listed for this awesome looking little treat. Where can I find the recipe for this?
Also, do you have any stuffing and gravy recipes that are not only gluten-free, but corn-free and dairy-free? I’m having a difficult time finding recipes that omit all 3. =:O
Thank you! 😉
Hi JJ, I just added a recipe for GF macarons — I’ll forewarn you though, they are a lot of work. You might be better off purchasing them pre-made. As for the stuffing and gravy ideas – just google “paleo dairy-free gravy”. I came up with this as an option http://nomnompaleo.com/post/1634346420/easy-paleo-herb-gravy-recipe amongst many others.
As for stuffing, the Quinoa Veggie + Sausage Stuffing listed here would suit your needs. 🙂
Great list! Thanks so much for including some of mine here, Jennifer. 🙂
