Welcome to November — the month of Gratitude! It’s one of my favorite months of the year and offers us the opportunity to step back and see the blessings around us. Though the idea of ‘seeing the blessings’ around you might be difficult for some who are truly struggling and suffering because of life circumstances or their health, I do believe that one’s attitude can help remind one that there can be a light at the end of the tunnel.
And honestly, you are a blessing in my life. I love that the internet has allowed me the opportunity to walk with you on your gluten-free journey. To me, the fact that I can reach out and connect with you and a huge community is powerful and keeps me going even on days when I feel frustrated.
That’s why when I wanted to do a giveaway, I reached out to the people at KIND Snacks. I’ve been incredibly wow’ed by the company’s desire to provide lower sugar products to customers as well as constantly giving back to those who are struggling. They take their role as a food company as well as a community builder seriously — they see their growing reach as an opportunity to make meaningful social change.
I’m sure that you’re familiar with KIND bars… they’re everywhere, but what I’m sharing with you is a brand new line of products which were specifically created for those looking to be conscious of sugar intake. As you may know… I’m a huge advocate of low sugar since most people overeat it. (And it’s pretty easy to do this time of year!)
KIND Snacks has launch a new line of gluten-free products which are about 1 tsp of sugar per serving. That’s incredible considering most bars and granolas are tipping the sugar scale at 3 to 6 tsp per serving. Most products are what I’d like to call Sugar Bombs, but KIND took the feedback about sugar seriously and gave us back the Nuts and Spice line of bars and Healthy Grains granolas.
(Wanna know how many grams equal a teaspoon? Check out my easy equation HERE.)
The entire line is incredibly tasty and offers up customers like you and me an opportunity to have a delicious meal or snack without breaking the sugar bank. In fact, the Nuts & Spice bars were the only ones to be approved as a snack on my Gluten-Free Sugar Cleanse this past month.
And though you might be wondering how these products could taste as good as they do without all the added sugar, I can assure you that they are. Everyone I’ve passed them on to has raved about them. All KIND did was to remove the dried fruit (which is really high in sugar) and use spices to please your palette. They’ve also got good amounts of dietary fiber as well as some protein and fats.
Okay… on to the giveaway!
As a thank you for being such an awesome community, I’m giving away “A Month of KIND” to one lucky winner.

Thankful for your email this morning, devastation like this storm helps put everything into perspective. Love kind bars, what a giveaway!
I’m grateful for my warm and safe home.
I am greatful for people like you who share their stories and recipes because they love to educate the struggling.
I am grateful to my parents for taking in my husband and I for the last two nights (and until further notice) in their beautiful home, while our electricity and water is out due to Sandy. And for all those in my apartment building who are helping to clear the water in our basement so we can access all of our stored wedding gifts from our recent wedding that were ruined in the flood waters.
MJ – I’m so sorry to hear!!!!! Thank goodness for your parents! I hope you can return home soon to sort through things
So sorry, Mary Jane! Congratulations on your recent wedding though!! There’s nothing like starting off a new marriage with hurdles to jump, but it can be a great bonding experience. Praying for all who have been negatively impacted by the hurricane. We went through Katrina with people around us panicking and losing their heads for awhile, but others truly pulled together and helped in so many unexpected ways. The flood waters actually rejuvenated a lot of the farming soil. Many lost crops that year, but bounced back in a big way. There’s almost always an upside to every tragedy. Many future blessings to you and all your family.
Thank you to you both for your support. We were able to get into our storage unit yesterday and clean out all our salvageable items. Thank goodness most valuable and sentimental items were saved. We feel grateful we were able to save so much, although many things were lost, including photos, electronics, clothing, etc. It is a shame, but it has definitely helped us realize what is most important. We are still waiting for our building’s power to come back on, but considering what other’s are facing, we feel blessed that this is our only challenge at this point.
I am so grateful for time spent with people I love.
I’m thankful for my health.

Great giveaway! I’m grateful for our new home and neighborhood. It’s bringing our family closer together…we’ve waited for years to get into this close knit, family oriented neighborhood and I’m looking forward to having our son grow up here!
I’m truly grateful for my health, friends and of course, FAMILY!
I am grateful that I’m a homeowner this year. It feels so good to have something that’s mine.
Congratulations on being a new homeowner! 🙂
I am truely thankful that my daughters Dr figured out she has celiacs (new diagnosis for my family). Eating gluten free is hard but now I know what’s wrong and its easily fixed.
I am truly thankful my daughter’s Dr tested her for celiac (new diagnosis in my family). Eating gluten free may be hard bit at least now I know what’s wrong and its any easy fix.
I’m grateful for opportunity. This freedom is ours to do with what we can.
As strange as it sounds, I’m really grateful for access to information. I recognize that if I had the same allergy issues 20 years ago, it would have been a nightmare to try to navigate through very limited resources to even understand the condition, and there certainly would not have been personal stories and support. I am thankful to have resources like yours where I can understand more about eating gluten free, eating healthy foods and treating my body well. I am thankful for boards and blogs where people share frustrations and successes. I’m so thankful to not feel completely alone!
I am grateful to have finally found a Dr. that was willing to listen to symptoms that I have been having for years. I was finally diagnosed as gluten intolerant in July of this year. For years I had what I now are “classic symptoms” but my previous Dr. would only test me for thyroid issues (I do not have thyroid issues). Other things were never considered. Finding this Dr and changing to a gluten free has changed my life!
I am also very thankful that we only had minor inconveniences due to hurricane Sandy. My heart goes out to all those still without power but especially to those who have lost their homes.
Well, Jennifer, I have to say I am thankful for you and your efforts to guide us to better health during your GF Sugar Cleanse!
I am grateful for fellow health coaches like you, to support and learn from!
I am thankful for…finding out I’m pregnant this morning!! (Still waiting to tell family! ;))
It’ll be the first time to be pregnant and GF, so pretty nervous…
Congrats Jennifer! Such great news 🙂
CONGRATULATIONS 🙂
Congratulations! So exciting!!!
I am truly grateful for being able to assist many other people in my community with gluten intolerance through our local support group.
I am grateful that Syracuse and most of Upstate NY were spared damage from Hurricane Sandy
I’m grateful for everyday with my wonderful wife.
I am grateful for my warm home, clean water and food. Grateful that today, my father is in good health
I am truly grateful that after a year of being very ill and not knowing what was going on with my body a doctor FINALLY told me it was Celiac! Eating gluten free has made me feel amazing and even my asthma went away that I had my entire life so that was just icing on the cake… 🙂
I’m grateful that my home, as well as the homes of my closest friends and family, was spared from the devastation of Sandy. I pray for those who were not as fortunate an hope that they can recover quickly from this storm.
I am grateful for all the wonderful people in my life.
Im grateful for my new generator that has kept me “electrified” since Monday with utility power not expected back before next Sunday. (don’t mean to sound superficial, it’s just top of mind).
Incredibly grateful that we made it through Sandy unscathed where many in my neighborhood and in my state have not.
I am grateful for my mother and father who have been incredibly flexible and accommodating to my gluten-free diet during these past five years I have been off gluten due to health issues.
I am truly grateful for my freedom to choose whatever food I need to (organice and gf). I just wish it were all labeled and regulated.
I’m grateful for freedom, family and the simple things that we sometimes seem to overlook.
I am grateful to wake up everyday and be able to love my family with all my heart, have the ability to walk, talk, think properly, and help others. I’m also grateful to have the courage to dream and believe that my dreams can become my reality!
I would like to start no sugar diet on top of my oil nut grain gluten-free diet..
I am grateful for the day and everyday that God has given me the health and this wonderful life to live pure happy healthy ! No matter what there is always a light at the end of a dark cold tunnel;) one life to live be grateful and live to rock it
I have so much to be thankful for – it’s hard to pick just one.. I would say the people in my life because that covers family and friends and many blessings. Thank you for the opportunity of this giveaway!
I am very grateful for the connectivity of the internet!
I am grateful for living in the United States of America. Whatever tragedy occurs our great
country is there for us.
I am truly grateful for health (myself & those around me)
I’m truly grateful for my healthy family.
I thought “tagging” was simply using the name “Gluten Free School” when sharing but for some reason it doesn’t highlight like other names do. Help!
Grateful always for my family. We love Kind bars.
One thing I am grateful for is my family. They are always there for me and have helped me get through a lot of difficult challenges. They supported me and help me reach my dreams. 🙂
I am grateful for my life and that with my diagnosis I was able to help my mother and her family find out their problems with gluten so that they wouldn’t have to go through the sufferings of cancer as their father and aunts and uncles.
I am thankful I discovered my gluten sensitivity, without my doctors’ help, after 20 years- maybe longer. As a giver I would get so tired and didn’t why but now my energy is increasing each day I learn about gluten.
I am so very thankful to be married to my best friend and for my happy, loving little girl.

I’m grateful for the abundance of positive, healthy changes that I have been making in my life over the past year, and for all the support I’ve receive from countless like minded people in all areas of my life!
I am grateful for my seat warmers in my car!!
There are so many things I have to be grateful for…. I have a very supportive family. My sisters, inlaws, husband and children are amazing. Over time they have become educated with me and aware of my needs. My friends are the best! We support each other through everything that goes on in our lives. I have a business that I love….most of the time and I work with the nicest people. We have been together 15 years and they are great people to work with. One of my teachers always said “Be positive and you will attract people like you”. I try to remember that and live it.
I’m grateful for my family and that they are beginning to take into account my need to be gluten free. They now are asking me and trying to make sure I have something to eat at family gatherings. I’m also thankful for the technology that allows me the opportunity to learn more so that I can be more healthy.
I am truly grateful for my family, my good health and a forgiving God.
I am grateful that my health issues have finally been diagnosed and that I am on the road to recovery!
I am thankful that my family is very supportive of my having to be gluten free due to Celiac. This has actually been a blessing, made us look at our eating habits, brings us into the kitchen daily to cook healthier food for the whole family not just me!
I am truly grateful for EVERYTHING, even the things that I consider extremely difficult because it challenges me to grow in character. I am especially thankful for being born a citizen of this country, for the freedoms and privileges we’ve had that we so often take for granted, and for the blessings, protection, and grace God has granted to us as a nation under God. I am thankful for the Holy Bible, God’s Word that He gave to us to help us understand who He is, His ways, and to answer all of our questions about how we can live, find joy, peace, and a life beyond this one. I am, of course, thankful for my family, friends, neighbors, and people like all of you who are supporting one another in things that matter.
